The biggest flaw of Windows Mobile 6.5 is that you don't go back to the Start Menu after launching a new program.

  • Apparently Brandon isn't paying attention to how he's launching the program.

In Windows 6.1 he launches the "Programs" application and the Start menu closes. He then launches the next application he wants. When he closes that application, it reverts to the previous application... "Programs". The Start menu is closed. In 6.5, he launches the application directly from the Start menu. There IS no previous app to return to.

This is not a flaw. This is Brandon not paying attention to his actions.

  • so 1 click away from the program menu is a big deal for power user?

  • This is not a flaw, it's just a matter of personal preference. I'd rather go back to home screen.

  • I disagree, I'd rather go back to the home page (keep in mind most users are not power so the default should be the home screen)

  • yea, not a big deal, in manila 2d (touch flo) you can go to the programs tab and not have to go into start.

  • thet is not a big issue

    i think

  • That is probably the least significant complaint you can have on a OS.

  • RabidClwn is right, in 6.1 Brandon uses the Program app to open another program, when you close it . The program app will still be there, when you launch from the start menu this is not the case.

  • mine is like that on my touch pro 2.... t-mobile

i like it going back to the home.

  • You're right. On WinMo 6.1 he pressed "Start" and then "Programs", which means he opened a new "Programs" window. However on WinMo 6.5 he launched the program right from the "Start" menu. This actually is suposed to be a good thing and not a Flaw.

  • 6.1 made the X into your task bar when everything has been hidden. Hiding the Programs app was more of a flaw than a feature. Assuming Windows 6.5 also only CLOSES an app when you hold the x button (like 6.1), to go to another app would be as simple as going to the Start menu and finding it without worrying about the app you are already using.

I bet, when you hide the second app, the first is hiding underneath it.

That's why the Start menu is almost never hidden.
