PLEASE, NO CRIT ! This is getting really annoying, how people are saying 'she looks lame, why are you riding her?!', SHE IS NOT LAME ! That's how this mare trots when she gets excited, if she was lame, she wouldn't want to move, let alone jump 3ft !
My first day at my coachs barn. Lovely; I ride a 16.3 hh thoroughbred jumper mare. My 2nd fall this day off this horse. First i got bucked off and hit the wall. 2nd, i fell again. Get dragged. Slight concussion, Sprained ankle. :S
ooh well. i guess things happen. right?

@Horsephan thats completely fair comment- that horse isn't lame- its her movement pattern, and yeah if she was lame I'm sure you wouldn't have been jumping her?

when i first watched this i was like Oh god shes about to get dragged on the ground than your foot slipped out and i was like thank god..I hope you and your horse are fine keep working at it things happen horses have bad days just like people I'm sure you two will get it =)

Pppfft no offence to the lovely person who said it but I dislike how people in the back ground ALWAYS yell let go off he horse.. yes i was trying but then my stirrup twisted on my ankle and I was as helpless as a turtle..

@msjumpingqueenful actually instructors have to make the area safe before seeing to the rider which means catching the horses thers no point helping a rider if thers a chance shes gunna get mowed down

Ugh....That looked awful. That was a very violent refusal, so no one should be giving you crap about falling off. Stuff happens, and you know the horse better then all of us. If you watch, even though her steps are uneven, her nostrils are not flaring with each step on that leg, and she does not appear to be in pain. Lighten up! :)
On a different note, would you be okay with me using this is a horse fall video I'm making? Full credit, of course! ;)
