Setting the Pressure on the Presser Foot has a big impact on sewing and machine quilting. Watch how to change settings and what differences the settings make. If you have puckers in your quilts after machine quilting, this may be why!

Thank you so much for watching my videos!

  • Excellent video. I am just on basic quilting and could't understand why I am getting puckers on the back. I love your videos, can we have more please?

  • @eileenb2 YAY - I just bought a new (used) tripod and I can't wait to get back into the studio for more videos :) ~Marguerita (more coming soon!)

  • Thanks, this does help so much! It explains why the last quilt I made had puckers in it, even though I was very careful. Maybe my future quilts won't pucker! Also, I don't think you speak slowly, you are very easy to understand. Thanks a lot!

  • @clkingtx Thank you so much! ~M

  • I didn't even know you could change the pressure on the foot - this has changed my life, thank you. As for speaking slowly, you don't. Your tutorials are perfect.!

  • @JosieJo2000 Thank you so much and I am so glad it helped you :) Marguerita

  • @Juju4God I hoped this helped with your quilt and I'd love to see a video of your quilt ;) ~M

  • This was an excellent vlog. I am just beginning to quilt my first quilt-did one row of quilting and had to take it all out because of all the tucks and gathering. So disappointed.Had no idea what to do or what I did wrong. While watching your vlog -I'm shaking my head-up and down, yes that is my problem-Thank you soooooooo much. Going to see if I can get it figured out now. So very much appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Blessings

  • @dawn777771 Hi Dawn, as someone else pointed out - a lot of times puckers just disappear once the quilt is washed - so don't worry about the ones you see, okay? And thank you so much for posting your comment - it means the world to me to know that I really did help someone with a sewing or quilting issue! That's what keeps me going when I am wondering if anyone really wants to see the goofy videos I make :) Marguerita

  • My pressure foot was set to a number 3 for thick material like jeans and so I thought this must be the highest. But when I moved the knob down to a number 1 I can get my quilt in easily so maybe, just maybe, my next quilt will turn out better! You helped no end. Especially when you said how it is the crosswise lines that cause the problems in particular because that is really what happened to me. The material could do nothing but…pucker! You’re a star. Thankyou so much.
