  • I think i have found a fix for this. This kept happening to my warrior (onehanded+shield). I was thinking, why didnt my mage character get this, or my dual wielding assassin? So I started a new char, and went to the nearest smith. It did not happen this time, so I was like ok? Maybe it's for some characters. Sooo, I made a Banded Iron Shield at the forge, and equiped it. When I left the forge, I still had Iron Ingots left so I made a dagger, and I got the glitch.

  • @SandmanXXII Was your warrior a Nord? I think it might be specific to that race but I haven't verified.

  • @benben1984 Yes, nords are meant to be warriors lol. Do you use a shield?

  • @SandmanXXII I don't recall what my character was using at the time this vid was recorded. I focused on two-hand greatswords though. This only happened to me once and only happened at the very first blacksmith forge I used which was in Riverwood.

  • which brand of toaster did you record this with?

  • @10minWonder lol I know, it's a junk LG Axis but I'm going to have a Galaxy Nexus as soon as it comes out. I'm so ready to ditch this piece of crap.

  • Sooo, I loaded back, and it was gone. So it came to my understanding that it was the shield. I crafted the shield again, and suprisingly I was right, it happened again. I unequiped the shield, and pulled out my weapon. I then sheathed my weapon and went back to the forge, and it was gone. So if you have a shield, unequip it, and pull out your weapon, then put it away. This worked for me. I play Skyrim on PC, so I do not know if it will help console users.

  • @SandmanXXII thanks buddy this worked.

  • I think I found a fix after my argonian kept getting this glitch. I disabled the 'save on character menu' option in gameplay settings, and just save manually.

Luckily I kept the backlog of saves so I could find a save when it didn't occur, I notice a pattern that it happens after autosaves.
