  • I love those Razel copies. What kind of steel do you use to build the knives and where do you get the steel?

  • @ekserchina , thanks! I use truck leak springs or 5160 stock for those, I call them Pocket Choppers. That steel can take alot of abuse and forges very well.

  • Great video. I am amazed that all your knife designs are so practically oriented. Built for use but yet beautiful. I usually prefer dull blades but your polish I commend. These designs are very similar to the ones I contemplate to make I believe because I have and utilitarian approach: they must versatile and do they work well.

Do you have a steel that you prefer using and can replicate your designs consistently as to order a design shown here? or do you work to only according to customer specs

  • Thanks! I like 5160 and L6, they are very forgiving in the forge. As a society we have gotten away from carrying one of our most basic tools on a daily basis, my hope is to make blades that are useful and easy to have on you when you need them.

  • @laneakjt hello do you sell them if so how much for the one at 1:38

  • @SlipHat Right now I am unable to take orders but that one is called a Pocket Chopper and runs 150$ Thanks for looking!

  • Great work!

  • That is not a very useful knife design! it fails as an axe and fails as a knife. can you gut a deer with that thing? no! Can you split firewood? no! yah some kindling... but what good does that do? AXE, KNIFE, AXE, KNIFE... there is a good reason the two are different its only taken tens of thousands of years for the basic designs to get to where they are now.

  • i would rather buy your knives than the original razels

  • how much for the one at 0:15

  • Its called "The Gael" ... The Royal Scotts Dragoon Guards version is available on the CD "Parallel Tracks"
