Part of my site http://www.modest-adventures.com
I wanted to get some exercise so what better way than to get the train to Horton-in-Ribblesdale and run the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, a 25+ mile route that goes up and down Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Inglebrough. It's a tough walk and an even tougher run but I've never been one to shy away from a bit of physical exertion.

If you've ever wondered what the Yorkshire 3 Peaks route looks like but you're too fat to do it yourself then let me do the hard work and show you what you're missing (well, until my camera screws up after Whernside). Enjoy!

  • how duuu.. watched a few of your vids and really enjoy them. Im thinking of running this as i have walked it many many times. I see on this video your using a hand held camcorder but on others are you using something else? Go Pro Hd or something like that.. Keep up the good work anyways...

  • @TheFolkinrambler Thanks, mate! Yes, I filmed this with a crappy little Handycam (hence why it broke due to moisture) but on my more recent videos I filmed with a GoPro :)

  • You must have bloody good stamina to do that.

  • @Zeamus634 Thanks, Zeamus. And yes. Yes, I do :P

  • @bravedaveempire I'd love to do something like that but at the moment I can only manage about 1 mile without having to walk. lol

  • @Zeamus634 Well, there's your starting point then! Run a mile and then walk a mile. A few days later see if you can run the two miles. Increase it by a mile every few days. You'll be amazed how fast you improve. You'll be at 10 miles in no time. And then if you can run 10 miles you can definitely run 15 ;)

Now then, Andy! Nice one with running the 3 Peaks, mate :D Was that as part of the official race on Saturday? I was supposed to be doing that but I've got a broken ankle. Gutted! I was properly looking forward to it as well. I'll just have to go and do it by myself again when I'm fixed.

  • Well done mate.Great vid, I ran it yesterday in 6:19 Proper proper ache today :):)
