I forget who or when, but some politician once used it in New Jersey (I think) to refer to another politician's recent voting record. The second politician was, of course, black, and took offense immediately yelling the typical cliches. The first politician politely waited for the tirade to stop before informing the colleague to pick up a dictionary and look up the word as he spelled it out.
