you can get mini mag lights that would fit in that pouch.

@gasdorf If you have a little alcohol with you, you can use the tealight housing as a stove that will boil water well and be very efficient.

2:22 E&E ass compass. We named them back home. Fit in your rectum for smuggling if captured.

cant your voice be heard over 10 miles on a day that isnt windy?

Nice review, but you can assemble the same kit alot cheaper and with higher quality equipment, by doing it yourself. I can understand some one who has no experience with survival buying this pod though. would like to see a reveiw on how the stove works also.

No shelter component?
Overall it's not a bad kit but the lack of shelter and cordage is something you'll probably regret :(
Also bin the maglite. Put a Swiss Army Knife in there. One with a saw.

my straps have removable clips. they would work great with this.

I looked up these pod prices and they are insane. Why not make your own with some PVC or some of those little real estate info boxes you see on the for sale signs everywhere. Any thing would be more economical then Gear pods with a useless pouch and a fall over cup with a stove that loses it's legs if you move it.

Nice review, great comments. 5/5 for both parts.
Interesting product, nice and compact, really like how they incorporated the stove, but yeah, $100 is a bit dear
Gimmicky little piece of equipment. Some of the items included in the kit are worthwhile to have when venturing out into the wild, but the whole tube thing seems to be a waste of space and weight.

scruffymeigs - I like having a way to organize small items in my pack. And the tube does just that.

ok, what is the fanny pack you have there? I like it's size a lot. I'm looking for a new pack to replace my everyday purse (I carry a mini-backpack as a purse already, but it's just not "quite" what i want). I want my Bob to be my everyday carry basically.
