In July, Harmonix announced the next evolution of its popular rhythm game platform Rock Band, taking the lid off of the Rock Band Network. Not entirely unlike the Music Studio mode that Activision debuted in Guitar Hero World Tour, the Rock Band Network will let musicians create playable versions of their own songs as part of Microsoft's XNA Creators Club and then sell those tunes as downloadable content for Rock Band 2.

Different people, different taste I guess. That, and what people miss in RB charts these days are challenge... since most pro RB2 drummers want a tough chart with double pedal charted and that stuff. And what else then metal (in general) can give you that?

why is the "bass" playing the rhytmh of the song? i really doubt that in this song the bass is exactly like the rhythm & with so many chords...

Of course since then we've got the announcement of RockBand 3 including "Pro mode" which takes drums up to 7 pads (3 toms, 3 cymbals)

Well when they follow the guitar or if it's BFMV I wouldn't count it as a baseline, because its unoriginal.
The Who and The Beatles have great baselines because the bass doesn't follow the guitar.
