Another dream film, although different from others I have attempted: not based on an actual dream, but devised to be "dream-like". I collaborated with artist KATY CONNOR, working with acting students. The music was arranged and played by GRANDMASTER GARETH from MISTY'S BIG ADVENTURE. Additional music was by MICHAEL VALENTINE WEST of TWIGGY AND THE K-MESONS. The film clearly owes a debt to LAST YEAR AT MARIENBAD by ROBBE-GRILLET and RESNAIS. • Wow. This is a truly amazing piece of surrealist film. When I first saw this I thought it had to be by some famous director like David Lynch or something but it was just by an unknown independent director. You have a gift their, filmficciones70.

  • Thanks, CrazyEgg! Can't imagine higher praise than a nod to Mr Lynch, you're very kind ;)

    Very best wishes,

  • can u please tell me the name of the movie in english?

  • Hey CBanana,

The film by Alain Resnais is called "Last Year at Marienbad" in English. The Arranged Time certainly tips it hat to that movie!

  • I love love love the music in this film.

Twisted piano playing..eerie , haunting yet beautifully elegant.

  • Thank you, lucimo333, for your very kind comment! Although I wrote the music for this film, I couldn't play it that well and drafted in a very talented guy called Grandmaster Gareth to do the honours. I think he did a brilliant job, and that allows me to admit I really like it too! It is based on a piece that one of the main characters plays in Hitchcock's film Rope - an amazing film if you can get hold of it. Thanks again :) Scott

  • Masterpiece! It's even better that its length is not like a movie, becouse of the secrets that remain...If there had been the third time the boy visits the house, I thought the boy would have been the one playing the piano...It's my imagination :) However,I am going to watch it again!

  • Photography beautiful. Ditto music and side effects. Funny.

  • Derivative. And that's being nice.

  • The main character even looks like the man in Last Year... but younger !

I found it's like David Lynch films also.

    good movie, good music
