your ideas about making more diverse are still working

1. cave spides (with poison attack)

2. spiders can climb walls (diversity)

3. zombies break down wooden doors in hard mode (its not out yet, but it will be out in the enxt patch)

4. monsters are way smarter now when it comes to chasing the player and finding shelter from the sun

5. endermen

6. monsters have a chance of droping certain items

and there will definatly more of your ideas (from your little "blogpost") too
