you europeians have all the good stuff norway iceland ireland greenland, all of them have such a rich culture me im a of saxon irish decent but im an american and we amercians have no rich culture it makes me weep at the thought of this al the richness is almost gone from the world. all you folk people should thank whatever god you pray to that your culture is rich and full of great tradtions

It is regular violin tuned DDAE. Giving it a really low drone.

this is probably the late norwegian fiddler hans brimi from gudbrandsdalen, east norway, he composed this music but in folk style. it is in minor and different from more western norwegian hardanger fiddle music in major + sharp 4th. I think this is played on a normal fiddle but differently tuned. He has made many tunes like this + a relative have made a record recently. Label heilo grappa
