How To Render Images Using GIMP

Hi guys this is Agent Orenji. In this video tutorial I will be teaching you how to render images.

1.) Open gimp
2.) Open the image that you want to render
3.) Click on paths tool
4.) Create the path around your image
5.) Drag the last point to the starting point
6.) Click on the select tab and click on from path
7.) Click on edit tab and click on cut
8.) Open a new canvas
9.) Click on advanced options
10.) Fill with: transparency
11.) Click on the edit tab again and click paste
12.) Save your render as .png file format or it will not work

Hey, I have a question. When I've made the render, it automatically saves it as an XCL file, which I'm assuming is the ideal one for it to be saved as. But when I try to upload this to 'tintypic.com' it won't let me. I basically want to post the image I've rendered with no accursed white box around it. If I change the filetype to PNG or anything like that though, a white box appears regardless of me having rendered it. Can you give me any advice here?

@INTYfromDQ OHhh... I guess that white box is there but if you use it in a image editing program it's not there... I mean the white box is there to show you that there is transparency in the image ;)
