Cats that live outside live much shorter lives. Plus, they kill songbirds and everything they can get a hold of.

@marne009 I disagree. I've always had outdoor cats--of course, the smarter and quicker ones do better, but cats are highly intelligent predators.

@marne009 Dude, have you forgotten that cats are hunters? They do just as fine outside as in. It's what they're built for. The only way cats could be unfit to live outside is if they've lived indoors and have not been taught the proper survival codes by their moms. In which case, it would mean that the fault lies with humans for not providing the necessary environmental stimulation that cats require in their early years. I have outdoor cats and they have been living outside safely for 7 yrs now
