Bhuel de dhúisigh mé agus mé liom féin
D'fhág sí mé i-ay
Le mo chroí bhríste bhí pian laistigh
Agus n'fheadar liom,
Cad a tharlaíonn linn.
Nuair a chasamar leis an gcailín sin

Well done. Good pronunciation. I translated this song into Irish for Mundy and you did a good job. Fair play! Maith thú!

@amberoonie101 English is spoken everywhere in Ireland. A few places where the language is still Gaeltacht, but Galway is so beautiful and has such a great vibe. Go for it.

And its narrow minded, stupid comments like that, that gives people reasons to dislike the English.

Dia Dhuit! Just a line to say I think this version is fantastic! I'm actually Irish and a fluent gaelgeóir (Irish Speaker) and I can't believe you learnt it so well phonetically! There are so many dialects of Irish that any pronun. errors can be covered up easily, so don't worry! Fantastic job! The pictures of Galway are beautiful :-)
Just to answer someone elses question, most Irish people have some Irish but there are 30,000 that have fáinne's which mean you are fluent in the language.

In that case :) I accomplished what I set out to do :)
Thanks ;)
It really is a beautiful language, I have a few Irish friends but other than that I have no connection to the place. I just simply learned the song/words phonectically which is probably even more time consuming than learning the basics of the language lol :)
