  • Very nice!.

How do you like your grill/smoker unit? i've heard mixed reviews on this design. The "BBQ Pro" style, which is almost identical to yours as far as configuration, got some really bad reviews but I think the owners used it improperly. Being experienced at grilling, i'm confident that i will thoroughly enjoy one, but the reviews made me hesitate. Have any thoughts?

    Thank you :)

  • I love the my grill. I can't imagine a better design. For small time cooking the firebox works fine and of course for smoking I use the larger side. The only thing I've noticed is that when smoking, the side of the meat towards the coals tends to dry out. I remedy that with a pan of water in-between the coals and the meat.

  • I am trying to figure out why you don't have more watchers. Hmmmm. I love your video's! You always make me so hungry!!!

  • Glad to hear it. I'm still learning my way around this place and meeting people. I enjoy making the videos. Maybe I should start putting people with 'hot bods' in my videos. That seems to help. It did Zipster well. :)

  • @ZipTumbleFast Thank you sir. It sounds like an ideal design for what I want to do. I want to be able to cook for a decent number of people *occasionally and I do not want a unit that is too large for 1-2 person style cooking/feeding.

Do you ever grill hot dogs/burgers directly over coals in the large chamber?

Btw- I love slow cooking briskets and cannot wait to obtain a good smoker for just such a reason.
