Students from the University of Missouri 2008 summer program in the city of Iida in Nagano Prefecture, Japan make their stage debut after two months of training in puppetry, tayu vocals, and samisen playing under the tutelage of members of the 300-year-old Imada Puppet Troupe. They performed the play Hidakagawa Iriaizakura. on August 4, 2008 at the Kuroda Puppetry Hall during the Iida Puppetry Festival.
