I was referring to when he tells you to move your arm so you play notes on the 6th string. That is kinda ok if you use your arm. But most people just end up contorting their wrist weirdly. This can cause wrist problems. When me and a friend visited ucb, a few of the jazz guitar players were wearing something to keep them from worsening their wrists. I personally use classical left hand posture. Which is a little similar to the old school flamenco.
