Lubella the Golden Retriever #2

In this video she is approx. 4.5 months old to approx. 6 months old.

She is a CKC certified Golden Retriever, purchased from Tomiskaway Kennels in Georgetown, Ontario.

In this video, we showed off some of her basic training and tricks, such as sitting, laying, waiting for a command to eat a treat, hopping, fetching and rolling over (she is still a beginner with that one!).

Remember to be very patient with training! If your puppy is is still young, they will still act like puppies when they want to! Golden Retrievers, I find, react better and listen better when you use love and positive reinforcement rather than scaring them or yelling at them.

@SocomKevlar I wouldn't say overweight but yeah she could be a bit skinnier. In fact, its better if they are skinnier for their development as well.  But she gives us those puppy eyes and she wins too often haha

Comment of the year, very true. I had a Shih Tzu before and he could only be trained by shouting/scolding (not hitting!).

Our 3 month old Golden responds only to praise and rubs! A joy to train and he really enjoys it too!

nice golden its easy to train goldens my one never gave up i was trying to do a backstool its not a very common trick but its when you call the dog to jump on your back and stay there for 3 secs and i tried standing up and my dog did it yay!

@SocomKevlar I am in the same boat taught all the same things and my zoey is almost five months... I am teaching her now how to jump over my arm and eventually i will make my arms into hoops for her to jump through, also maybe try ringing a bell to let you know she has to go out, or training the difference between three toys so you can say a word and she will grab the corresponding toy (works well later for hide and seek)

I know what you mean by puppy eyes.

My 5 month old Golden now knows Sit,ShakePaw,High 5, Lay Down,RollOver,Walk Backwards,Spin Around,Speak,Stay and Bang "play dead"

Play Dead was the hardest one to teach! But is now the families fav!

I need a new trick to teach her ! Any Ideas?
