This is a documentary I did for my English 11 class 7th period, second semester of the 09-10 school year. We are currently studying the Harlem Renaissance in English and our teacher thought it'd be fun to do a documentary over an artist from this time period. So we divided into groups of four people and chose an artist, our group chose W.E.B. Du Bois. We spent about a week and a half researching Du Bois, finding pictures and music for our video and then I put it ALL together for my group since I'm the most computer savy. This video took me WAY TOO MANY hours. I redid the audio once after awhile since it was getting fuzzy after saving it four or five times so I could add the music. Anyways I think this turned out pretty well, my classmates and teacher liked it, so for the most part it was a success. Only problems are bit and pieces of the audio since I saved the video.

  • @cole22333 sorry if this is late, but sure I guess you can as long as you give credit or w/e ;)

  • Very nice job! :D But just one thing; it's pronounced Du "Bwah", like in French. XD

  • @Liolar43 Just to add to, before I did this documentary I had no idea who Du Bois was, our group picked who we wanted to do, and basically my teacher knew quite about Du Bois and that was the way she pronounced his last name, but thanks for the info and for watching my video ;D very much appreciated ;D

  • @anASHproduction Np! I finished my history A level with an A! :D Aso, people who want to correct my previous comment! Please don't! I get the point! D:

  • @Liolar43 Actually, I am taking an African American history class right now and one point my professor (with a PhD in history) liked to make clear was that is was pronounced DuBois, not "DuBwah" saying that is always drove him crazy when people would pronounce it in the French way. Anyway, just thought i'd add my two cents, haha. :)

  • great job !

  • Great work. You've given me an idea. I've complained tons about how we Black folks don't work together. We've got the internet at our disposal. How about a joint effort to prove DuBois' assertion that capitalism fuels racism. I've known it by common sense but "they" always want proof. So let's prove one for the gipper.

  • @Liolar43 WEB Du Bois didn't use the French pronunciation. It is said correctly in this video (per his own pronunciation)

  • Happy African Liberation Day, W.E.B. Dubois.

  • @Liolar43 I was told by my college professor that it was DuBois, not Du "Bwah", he followed the American pronunciation
