Cast in Bronze is the only musical act in the world that features the carillon, an extremely rare musical instrument consisting of 23 or more tuned bells.
I know who this guy is,. At least I think I do. I went to see this at the renissance fair in No. Carolina a couple of years ago and I had my pic taken with him. I looked him up on the internet and if it's the same guy his name is Jonathan Lehre. I saw what he looks like under the robe and he is a cutie:) He wasn't there this year but I'm hoping to see him next year there. He's awesome!
@xVampaticzx and he wears the mask to keep the mysteriousness of it going. When the carillon is in a church tower you do not know who is playing it, you just hear it. So he wears the mask to keep that alive... you hear/see him play, but still do not know who it is! The DVD has some Q & A's. Very interesting to watch him play. A must see for anyone that can get the chance to.
omg not to sound gay but this gus is bad ass iv seen hem 14 or 16 times i go every year it is a good time if you are at TRF see hem hes in sher wood forest
I went to see him this year with my school and me and my friend asked him why he moved his head and arms like that and he said his mask is a Phoenix and he moves like a bird for the spirit of the instrument. I loved it. I got 2 cd's that day and instead of listening to Adam Lambert on the way home we listened to him. It was interesting with the trees and stuff until we passed a mcdonalds xD but it was a great day there
He is dressed as a spirit and the mask he wears represents the Phoenix, a bird. I spoke to him after an amazing performance at the Pittsburgh Ren. Fest. There is a great history of how the bells came in and out of his life. A stranger bought the bells and gave them to Frank DellaPenna because he felt people needed to see Frank perform. Frank believes his talent comes from above, not of this world. Thus, he performs as a spirit. The kindness from 1 stranger allows us to enjoy Cast In Bronze.
@imjumpin1 The mask being especially appropriate when you consider that his last name is DellaPella (Of the Plume, like a bird's feather)
