  • Yes, one 60m static rope. It was 60m originally, but with shrinkage due to water use it was more like 56m. It just reached the water.

  • Did this, last Thursday. Thanks to the recent rains, there was a LOT more water coming over the falls!

  • When does he pull out the multimeter?

  • I went to blue mountains today. i remember the giant stairway. IT WAS FREAKING SCARY!!! i was scared because it was windy and stuff. i reached to the bridge and wimped out. its soo high.

oh haha. and also this chinese tourist dropped her cmera. =P goodbye

  • I did Empress for the first time at night. I nearly climbed over that edge 'cause in the dark I didn't know it was a drop on the other side. It was probably a dumb move doing an unknown canyon for the first time at night. It's a nice canyon. It's rather convenient having the formed path out and car park at the top.

  • Correct. Or you can use a single rope is you want, with various retrieval options. Also, you can do a shorted drop to the right side if required.

  • it would be doubled over for a 30m drop.

  • I went either earlier this year or late last year. Great fun :D

  • Aw man! I did this back in 2004 but all of my pics were underexposed and I didn't have a video cam to capture the experience. Thanks for posting, it brought it all back for me!

  • Is this using a 60m rope?
