'Coalition of the Willing' is a collaborative animated film and web-based event about an online war against global warming in a 'post Copenhagen' world.

'Coalition of the Willing' has been Directed and produced by Knife Party, written by Tim Rayner and crafted by a network of 24 artists from around the world using varied and eclectic film making techniques. Collaborators include some of the world's top moving image talent, such as Decoy, World Leaders and Parasol Island.

The film offers a response to the major problem of our time: how to galvanize and enlist the global publics in the fight against global warming. This optimistic and principled film explores how we could use new Internet technologies to leverage the powers of activists, experts, and ordinary citizens in collaborative ventures to combat climate change. Through analyses of swarm activity and social revolution, 'Coalition of the Willing' makes a compelling case for the new online activism and explains how to hand the fight against global warming to the people.

  • Halfway through it mentions web 2.0. Alex jones was right again.

  • ridiculous naive hippy garbage not worth watching

  • The 60s was a individualistic social liberation movement and this video tries to inject a degree of collectivism and communalism into it that wasn't really there. These kinds of messages are really starting to turn me off global warming because they hijack a somewhat serious issue to promote a socialist political agenda. As a result, the mainstream is losing interest in learning about the science and the more rational policy choices being proposed like cap and trade.

  • The reason swarms worked in the 60's is because humans are fundamentally selfish and "damn the man" was all about "me". Global warming currently does not affect "me" so we will probably have to wait until it does.

Why isn't changing our lifestyle to be less wasteful is good enough reason to promote sustainable living on it's own merit without harping on about the doom of global warming?

  • Once i learned to recognize the deviance proffered by the likes of

Dotboomeroo George Gilder, Andrew Lehman's bent towards the

sunny side of alienation was easy to spot .. and by the same token so

    is yours.

Jose Arguelles type tie in to ancient culture is the only way to go.

You wanna be remote, hi-tec, radical?

Let's pool money and tempt folks down in the place i mentioned

(Ghana) from using fire to 'recycle' clockspeed devices.

I'll provide the daily rock unlockspeed interstices.

  • .. sigh, i know you guys fully intend to and aim at catching up to

missitchies like Agbogbloshie before them catch up to you .. but

even if yall meet in the middle (sorta likely that, come to think of

it), the front line will be sharp, above, beneath and around all, very

    ballistic ((micro mostly)) and unpredictable).

  • Good video. Keep spreading awareness!
