Evander Holyfield beats and bloodies a determined Michael Dokes before finally stopping the former heavyweight champion with two huge left hooks in the 10th round of a bruising heavyweight battle in Las Vegas. Holyfield was still punching at the defenseless Dokes when referee Richard Steele stepped in to stop the scheduled 12-round fight at 1:41 of the 10th. It was only the third fight for Holyfield as a heavyweight.

Marciano actually kayoed Charles with a rabbit punch, and Tyson hit Ruddick with some low punches, but no heavyweight champ compares to Holyfield when it comes to dirty fighting. The guy was filthy, always hitting low, head butting and punching after the bell.

Err to all you doubters Holyfield was a pumped up Cruiserweight who gave the best Heavyweights a real fight. Headbutts....remember Lennox pushing his glove into Brunos face, remember Tysons elbows on the sly, remember Marciano hitting Charles when he was on the floor. Holyfield was the man. Looks cool in the jet. Also great fight.

Nope 5 times, the last time he won the belt it was against the big fat white guy with a beard, the harly davidson looking guy, that was the 5th time he won the belt back, go to his main website and look at the top letters in RED saying "The only 5 time world champion ever" at evanderholyfield(DOT)com ..... & every fight that i've seen has had 2 or more headbutts in it, Tyson got cut just as big in the lenix lewis fight headbutts. watch more holyfield fights from the 80's hes great

In this fight holyfield hit below the belt 2 times for pay back, cuz this guy kept hitting him below the belt, if you notice every punch to the body from dokes was a low blow, In every fight there are at least 2 headbutts, lenix lewis tyson fight there were 2 big headbutts that no one talks about, I love tyson but he's over rated, people actually though he would KO holyfield in the 1st round lol thats a joke look at the monsters holyfield had to fight holyfield got the belt 5 times!

theres more then two headbutts in the tyson fight why didnt holyfield cut dokes in 2 rounds? tyson wasnt even close to a bleeder either the 10 round destruction by buster didnt even make tyson bleed and holyfield didnt have sharp punches and what about haseem rahmans head see what holyfields headbutts did to that and holyfied forgetting where the belt line was in both lewis fights even in this fight he was fighting dirty the low blow and headbutt proves that he knew full well where he hit dokes
