  • Hey i've been working on building one of these gravity propelled cable cams but keep running into problems. I was wondering what you used for your wheel system, i tryed grooving out a skateboard wheel to fit the cable but that produced a lot of vibration. Also, i was wondering how you balanced your setup to get rid of swinging.

  • one key thing a a very tight steal cable. We winched ours tight to trees. The other is having enough weight on the rig.

  • You manualy moved the camera on the cable, right? and how did you get that snow, from the rink?

  • One person hits record and releases while another catches and stops at the other end.

The snow is from the local rec center (ice rink).

  • Hey, I tried making one of these gravity propelled cable cams too by grooving out a skateboard wheel for the cable to sit in but that produced a lot of vibration in the image. Just wondering what type of wheel system you used and how you balanced your camera to get rid of swing and bounce when shooting.

  • thats dope.. sick shots
