The Christian forces were heavily outnumbered at Lepanto so it was not a victory of might. The muslim forces were set on the invasion of Italy so it was a defensive battle on the part of the victors. Muslim scholars, even today, are trying to provide an explanation of how this enterprise to spread islam could have failed in the light of mohammed's assurance that even if outnumbered 10 to 1, muslims would win in battle. (They might consider that God was on the other side, but I suppose not!)

Allah was a *horrible* guy who invented Islam, a false "religion" of hate and revenge.
