ABOUT THE ARTISTS: 
Wind Spirit Drum Traditional Drum Performance Group (Mic-Mac, Lenape and Cherokee)

This husband and wife duo share their Eastern Woodland Native American culture and music. Windwalker and Spirit Buffalo's music showcases traditional Eastern Woodland drumming and spiritual Native American flute.

They share their Mic-Mac, Lenape and Cherokee heritage thru their song and storytelling performances. Their performances are immersed in beauty, harmony and healing. The couples daughter, Anagqus, dances to her parents inspiring music.

Their captivating performances have entertained audiences from Maine to Florida as they have also performed on the Pow Wow circuit for six years. The group has recently released their highly anticipated follow-up CD, Ancient Winds. The new recording of traditional Cherokee, Lenape, and Mic Mac songs are performed by the group in their original language.

Ancient Winds features "2010 Native American Music Award for Best Single Song for Grandfather." Original score by Terry Denise Evans, Sound Media. Solo vocals by Windwalker. Ancient Winds was recorded and engineered by Jono Manson (Blues Traveler) at Kitchen Sink Studios in Chupadero, New Mexico, December 2009. Additional vocals by Georgia Spirit Bear Canady, Andy Sky Dancer Canady and Jono Manson. 

Produced by Karla R. LaRive, Christopher Crosby, Susan Watt, Erin Smiling Turtle and Wind Spirit Drum in 2010/2011.

Wind Spirit Drum has appeared on RFD-TV television broadcast of the 122nd Tournament of Rose Parade, "One Nation" float with contemporary Native American performance group, Brule in Pasadena, California January 2011.

The group has performed on-stage at the World Beat Center in Balboa Park, San Diego at EarthFest, the largest environmental Earth Day Festival in the U.S. in April 2011.
