Árstíðir lífsins - Morgunn í grárri vindhjálsmars þoku við Berufjörð (except)

Video for the upcoming debut 'Jötunheima dolgferð' of the icelandic/german band Árstíðir lífsins.

In October 2010 Ván Records (www.van-records.de) is going to release 'Jötunheima dolgferð' as an extensive digibook and gatefold LP. Both editions come with English translations of the Icelandic lyrics, the latter one also with poster and sticker.

You'd probably wouldn't emphasise the "ir" much. I don't know if that division would be correct. It looks good, but I really can't say... I know some Norwegian, but that previous comment was just the product of a long search through basic Icelandic guides.

Where are the Icelanders when you need them? :D

I guess the syllable division is Árs-tíð-ir líf-sins, is that correct?

I'm not Icelandic, but here's a rough approximation:

Árs: bit like English "hours", except that the 'r' is rolled.

tíð: the ð is like the hard "th" in "the". I suppose a close approximation to this sound would be the "z" in "zumo" as spoken by a Spaniard (but it would be a little harder than this).

The "í" is long and is as such pronounced as "ee".

So, overall... "teeth" (with a hard th)

líf: like english "leaf"

sins: roughly english "sins"
