Irish-American brother Michael patrick Ryan who has converted to Islam about 12 years ago, talks to Brother Eddie of TheDeenShow fame :D. It is true the brotherhood is an essencial part of Islam; however, I have experienced racism by Muslims, mainly Arabs, who ignore this fact or have led their nationalism and cultures deviate them from what is stated in the Quran and Sunnah. So there is no racism in Islam; however we cannot say ALL Muslims understand this-some don't.

Salaam Gabrielitodlp, You are right, there is no racism in Islam but Muslims are like all other people in the world. You will find the good, the bad and the ugly. but if you find a Muslim who understand Islam and is a practicing Muslim, then you will never be able to call him/her racist.

Arabs do have some misguided individuals, but they also have some of the most devout, selfless and righteous Muslims as well. We have to be careful and generalize about any one group.

Wa alaykum salaam MuslimReverts....this is so true. I did not intend to say all Muslims were like this, Allah forbid. I have found great Muslims who practice their deen and I cannot see any racism but we treat each other as blood brothers...but trully these have been the exception rather than the rule..but in Islam there is no such thing as racism...LOVE ISLAM
