A cult needs to have mind control,
in Anonymous there is no control, that's why it's so successful. The only thing Anonymous is, is a label, like hippie.
It means that you support free speech, the right to anonymity, that you feel that the internet should be free and you love technology. But some Anons have gone to far, like the one who hacked Scientology.

Anonymous is a cult... as is scientology. I'd have to say I'm on anonymous's side, because they can take teh lulz and are less inclined to sue than the scientologists, but anonymous are just as lame.
