Zombotany is one of the trickier minigames in Plants vs Zombies. But the key is to plant wall-buts and tall-nuts, as they protect your plants from enemy fire, and don't get damaged by it themselves. I also put off setting up shooting plants until I've got loads of sunflowers - the squashes help with this.

Do you have to have Cattails to beat Zombotany 2? I'm up to the point where I have mostly mushroom plants.

@ShayminUser001 i don't think so. i just use them because i like them. there are a few other videos around which describe how to beat these levels with mainly mushrooms. but i don't know if you can play zombotany 2 without first beating the game.

Great setup! Love it! In the description, though, you say Wall-nuts and Tall-nuts don't get damaged by enemy fire, though they stop it. This is incorrect. They do get damaged by it.

@batterup98 thanks! but do they really get damaged by the enemy fire? i haven't seen them take any damage apart from when the enemies eat them.

@BozoTheBear They take a lot of hits, but yes, they get damaged by enemy peas. Perhaps you haven't noticed cos they take a bunch of hits, plus Peashooting Zombies still fire while they're eating a Wall-nut or Tall-nut, so the damage done by their peas can be mistaken for damage from bites.

@batterup98 ok, i'm gonna have to research this one. maybe i'll set up a wall nut at the end of a line, and just use squashes and potato mines for that line.
