I remember seeing Federated wagons when I was walking home from primary school, did they run out of Leicester, or at least have a depot there? I'm sure at that time they had a Leicester address on the door.

I've no idea, I like D series Ford Tractor units, simply because my dad used to drive a lorry when I was a kid, I'd go with him when ever I could, the Ford was a replacement for his Bedford Tk unit. The Ford was very modern in comparison, just taking a look at it bought back lots of memories... This one just happened to be at this local show.

yes i think they had a depot at mkt harboro . they also had a car sales situated on the old death row ( now st georges way) they were called federated garages . but i remember them as a friend of my family used to drive for them .
