@cdwordsworth26 a british sniper just made a record of 2707 yards taking out 2 insurgents. that equates to 1.6 miles i believe. its able to be done

This rifle is .338 Lapua Mag and the video description says has kills out to 2,100 yards. Shooting beyond that shouldn't be difficult using hand loaded ammo on a paper or steel target.

I've already seen one of these, they are a good replacement for the Barrett .50 BMG because they have a flatter trajectory, better mods, and its lighter, that's why the Marine Corps is looking at this for their new tactical sniper rifle and they are about the same price as any 50 cal rifle
