In between one of the commercial breaks, the Boston Pops covered "I'm Shipping Up To Boston" by the Dropkick Murphys. Craig Ferguson decided it would be a good time for a riverdance, and convinces the conductor and a stage hand to join in.

Apologies for the quality... was off an iPhone.

  • I've been going to this for many years. The first few years they broadcast the concert nationally, Harry Smith hosted. He was great. Then for whatever reason he wasn't hosting and they got Dr. Phil and his wife one year. They were terrible, they could barely read what was on the teleprompter. Craig is by far the best host they've had. He goes out into the audience, he sings along and the dancing is just wonderful to watch. They need to take care of him so he will keep hosting! Good job!

  • I wish they'd shown Craig dancing on TV.

  • If Craig ever quits hosting, I don't think it'll be nearly as good, unless they get Stephen Colbert to host but since he's not on CBS, it probably ain't happening.

  • this is great - we saw a little bit of dancing during Yankee Doodle, but this explains why he was so out of breath after the break from commercial! Thanks!
