The Thrilla in Manila was a fight between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, fought at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City of the Philippines on October 1, 1975. The bout is often ranked as one of the greatest fights of 20th century boxing, and is the climax to the bitter rivalry between Ali and Frazier.

  • well by the third fight i think ali had upset jo so much that joe didnt care about winning ..i mean OBVIOUSLY he wanted to win but i think he just wanted to inflict as much pain and damaged on ali as possible

i know ali said fighting frazier was the closest he ever come to death without actually dying ...and joe was hitting Ali in the heart and the hips basically any place he could...both true warriors

  • 106-105 Ali Great heart by both fighters. I don't see a war as great as this one in today's boxing

  • god ali probably shat blood for a week after this fight, he kept getting hit with those solid hooks to the body, any normal person would fucking collapse from one of those..

  • ALI IS THE MAN,

  • 9th round-11 18 times Ali held Frazier behind the head YET 0 POINTS DEDUCTED.....

  • @9:06 Ali's response !

  • @dogtagMGE he sure can but did you know all those body punches made he piss blood for quite some time after the fight. fraziers body punishement was damaging!

  • @Automatic25 well everyone needs to make money right but only real champions know that to make more money you have to fight great and give the people there moneys worth. boxers now a days think if they ask i want to be paid more there gonna give it to them. being a champion or a great world class fighter will get you a bigger pay check. beggers cant be choosers.

  • @Automatic25 (continued) if they paid boxers the same amount as they did back then now, you would see many boxers quitting the sport and only the ones that are in it for the championship would stay and only then would we see alot more great battles as good as this one

  • @Automatic25 and i dont think we will ever see a war as great as this one. boxing is dying and its being corrupted by all the money being thrown around. boxing is fighting, its a violent sport. its human cock fighting. this fight represents that. but its being made into a glamourous sport with all the money being made. boxing is a poor man sport. its ridiculous that the p4p champ (pacquiao) makes 40 mil per fight. ali being the p4p champ of his time made 6 mil and joe 3 mil in this fight

  • Ali was a MAN for taking these SHOTS to the body.. dude could take a punch

  • at the end of 11 i have Ali up 6rd-5. Just like their 1st fight Ali seems to be fading fast while Joe is just pounding Ali while he lays on the ropes. The 8th rd took alot of Ali. Between the 10-11 rd they show Ali sitting in his corner looking very beat up and discouraged, like hes never been b4
