Just something fun I put together using footage I captured from http://www.ustream.tv/channel/decorah-eagles of the amazing eagles on the Raptor Resource nest cam. These two are always fighting over the placement of the famous Corn Husks. Plus after they settle in over their eggs they always do The Decorah Shimmy.

Papa and Mama might have known the ice and snow storm was coming yesterday. I saw in the past week that they were building up the sides of the nest to keep the growing chicks in the middle. It was precious to see the parents yesterday spreading their wings over the chicks to keep them dry. The parents looked so miserable but they survived the storm!

This has been so funny to watch the parents wrestle with corn husk. It became an obsession to get it to stay where it was put.

LOL Shimmy! Didn't know her move had a name. Very cute video. Watching her live now. The babies look to be dreaming, twitching a little.

Love it! It would be fun to do a voice-over for the segment in "Unfortunate Situation Bonus Footage" where the female returns to nest to find the 2nd eaglet outside the cup, and the male appearing sheepish. A little anthropomorphizing ain't no sin! (She rescued the chick, BTW)
