@TomMichaels101 lol dude it's called marketing... count how many times a rapper says his own name in an average radio song. they're just trying to make sure everyone knows for which NFL stands. it also has synergy; 3 hr football game, National Football League, 6 minutes in a drivethrough, KFC. They want to take themselves seriously cause if a viewer didn't they wouldn't each for so long.

Also, have you ever noticed that certain coaches and announcers go out of their way to say "National Football League," as if they're overly caught up in the whole thing? It's like they think it sounds more important or tough-nosed that way.
"You don't win games in the National Football League if you don't blah-blah-blah." It's pretty hilarious once you pick up on it, because it sounds so pathetic.
