The BIG one. 108.9 official pounds, but we rounded up and say it's 110 - LOL . But, sadly it wasn't ours.. And this is why we booked another charter, set for Thursday morning, this time out of Homer :P

  • Is gun-shooting halibut and other big fish a common method of catching them?

  • @poopologist96 If they can't get them into the boat easily, then yes.

  • what is the make of filleting knife you use?

  • is it dangerous to do this without gloves? especially when u stuck ur hand inside the fish stomach I heard the bacteria in there is really dangerous. Oh and where can i learn to fillet like u? :D

  • @cubanboy740 shooting is so much easier.

  • @AK49BWL Why shot it ?? just stab it in the brain, instant kill.

  • I just ate Halibut.. tasted heavenly

  • @leo1234 lol you don't want a 110 pound halibut flopping around on your boat with people walking around it. all you'll hear is snaps and slaps

  • very well done. nice clean cuts. good job. Not sure if sticking your hands in the belly would be a good healthy idea while handling edible meat though.

    thanks for posting.

  • *Cuts open stomach of halibut, removes a salmon* god, that's a big fish.
