Crowning Music of Awesome - "The Gift of Forever"

Every now and then, I'll come across a piece of video game music that leaves me enthralled. Whenever I come across such delights, I intend to post them here. I don't intend to make a general habit of uploading these videos, but I'll try to update it as often as I can. The phrase "Crowning Music of Awesome" comes from TVTropes.org, for those who frequent that site.

"The Gift of Forever" is a two-part Arabic instrumental, played in the identically-named chapter of "Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem" as a theme for Karim and his guardianship over the remaining Artifact. The first part of the song is a lengthy introduction, with soaring strings playing Arabic chords over a central tonic. As the second part of the song sneaks in, it takes a decidedly dramatic tone. A haunting choir comes in and wails the strong central passage. In between this motif, there are brief orchestral interludes with Middle Eastern instruments as the choir seemingly warms up for another go at that majestic chorus. Overall, it evokes a feeling of great trial and tribulation, and of an impending collision of forces.

@ChaosInsanist Find a Nintendo GameCube... purchase Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem for said GameCube. Play, win, and play again. I found me many of life's secrets in there and it was partly the soundtrack to "blame".
