Highlights of the The UMass Amherst Innovation Challenge (IC) final competition whose mission is to educate students in innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship. The competition is designed to help students and young alumni pursue a novel business idea, develop a technology into a marketable product, or design a novel approach to a difficult problem or compelling opportunity. Interdisciplinary teams work together to conceptualize a product with regard to its scientific and technological components, and then create a business plan for the products commercialization.
