yeah there is alot of theft and pickpocketing in Vietnam. I have live in Vietnam for 3 years now and I had my wallet stolen in HCMC at the new year festival in downtown. People will drive by on thier moterbike and rip your necklace right off people. Traffic is the craziest in the world too. But there are also things I like about Vietnam

@testing1s im in vietnam they actually encourage you to leave your passport in the safebox at the hotel. as long you know who are and where you stay, you be ok :)

@Forzanucci in some countries (dunno about VN but it is for Thai) you HAVE to have your passport with u at all times or u get arrested.

poor guy, Vietnamese is good place but not enough safety :( pickpocket , food not so clean :))
