Thanks for your comment Mark. I agree to a point with the sentiment that UX is a designer's job. But there's also a ton of activities that fall under the UX umbrella, like user research or analytics, for instance. There are folks whose full-time job is performing that research component. Are they "designers"? Debatable. Is that a key part of UX design? Absolutely. Is UX something new? No. Is the fact that UX as a buzzword means more focus is being placed on design? Yes. And that's a good thing.
