@Milton754 I agree with the dentist, although I believe she goes there regularly! But she's a heavy smoker! But I totally disagree on the thing with the new wardrobe designer! Well, only a matter of taste, I suppose...hehehe
I really think that this Queen needs to see a dentist. Also, she needs a new wardrobe designer. Her clothes are awful. However; she is a wonderful Queen and bless her and her consort.
@maureenOWW lol. Her Majesty has the ultimate executive authority over the government of the United Kingdom and through the monarch's royal prerogative, the goverment governs. Her Majestys powers may only be used according to laws enacted in Parliament, and, in practice, within the constraints of convention and precedent, however, we have a constitutional monarchy. Look for example at her power in Austrailia, sacking the PM. Incidently, HM is Queen of 16 countries. Hope this helps.
@maureenOWW Please read my message. I stated that the Queen's power is a fiction. But she is permitted to exercise it as if it were real, and that is what helps draw the tourists.
@maureenOWW Also...'here, in the uk,the Queen is head of state' - ALL QUEENS AND KINGS ARE HEADS OF STATE, THAT'S WHY THEY EXIST. SAME IN DENMARK, CANADA, NORWAY AND EVERY OTHER MONARCHY. You insane nutjob.
@mindspring57 She has as much power as the crown upon her head. i.e. she exists for tourism purposes. Nothing more, and she never has in all her decades on the throne. The governemnt tell her what to do, ALWAYS. See Glorious Revolution, 1689. You need to catch up on history.
@gramule 'it is so, so different here, compared to denmark. here, in the uk,the Queen is head of state, and does have complete auhtority.' - you are living in a fantasy world. The Queen has had no influence over any decision that has taken place regarding the government of the UK in her entire reign. Not one iota. It is against the constitution to do so, all her powers are purely ceremonial, if she ever tried to exercise them she would be immediately replaced with someone less insane.
It is so informal.. Atleast compared to the rigorously ceremonial british parliament opening.I didnt understand the purpose of the queen coming here with her entire family... She hardly did anything except chatting with pm and sitting like a visitor.
And by the way the queens sons dont stay with her o wat why did she greet them again formally outside parliament...
Long live Her Majesty Queen Margrethe. From the UK.
