  • I was only watching this story today before work.

It does look very good, but a little static. But it's a hop, skip, and jump better than those toy Daleks!

  • in that shot the daleks are static i will probs have a go at doing the later shots showing them getting flooded

  • When I originally saw this story, I never noticed that they were toys. I honestly saw a cavern filled with Daleks - real Daleks. That's how my imagination worked at the time. I was in awe of this scene. Pertwee's acting helped, too.

  • @LegoDaleks Yeah, the scripts are the biggest problem. I'd put up with plastic bottles on string for space ships as long as we had decent stories. This guy's done a good job, though. Nice how fans tend to lead the way in these things, like the CGI enhancements in 'Day of the Daleks'. Nothing beats the real thing though. Even in James Bond movies, they still favour models over CGI wherever possible.

  • Technically you could just buy a bunch of Character Options toys, which have the right proportions and have it be a REAL effect. CGI in Dr. Who just looks like some amateur's tampered with it. REAL hands-on effects should only ever be replaced by hands-on effects, if at all. Nu-hu has got quite a lot of bad effects, why not correct those ... I guess it would be a lot harder to replace cgi with a real effects. It would be too much work to correct Nu-hu, even the scripts need to be rewritten.

  • @Zarak87 is that a reference to MLP? or better yet dr. whooves?

  • You say it's nothing amazing, but sometimes the most simple things create the best results.

    Excellent work!

  • Nice work, improved the original and blended in nicely.

  • when is Davros film?

  • well done! so much better than the models!
