I think/hope its easy to understand :3
Jim's father had to leave to fight in war,
he was loved by his family but he had to leave.
a few month later a men stands on the door and told Jim's mom that his father is dead.
6 years later Jim is older and have much trouble with the police, so he have to go to the army too, where he runs into his father..
at first he's happy and sad and angry, but then he's just angry because his father let them think he's death and they had much trouble because there was no Men to protect the Jim and his mother.

Aw, that was so powerful and creative! I envy you your crossover storyline abilities. :) I have ZERO creativity when it comes to that sort of thing, haha! But I think this was really great, and it fit the song so well.
