Now dont' get me wrong I will always be a life long SP fan, but I just compared his and AP's original HD versions of several early hits side by side like 3 or 4 times. And though at first I sort of agreed with the Journey purists who kept commenting that AP is karaoke and sings in a lower key. However, after these multiple comparisons, I gotta tell ya' AP actually sings in a higher key and with more clarity than SP did in his prime. And Arnel is aged 42. Bottom line AP has def renewed Journey!

arnel is awsome as both a front man and singer....the memory of Steve perry will always live on,people talk of steve and the band as if the band didnt know him... I'm sure as hell if the other members of the band didnt want Arnel there then he wouldnt be ..... shut up chelping and and enjoy the music and the phenomenon the is JOURNEY. Times change some of you old farts obviously havent so stop hiding behind keyboards and get a life!!

Well.... if Steve Parry can't be with Journey and Pineda can and doesn't sing that bad so be it. Genesis, Yes, Marillion and some other bands lost their main voice and continued. Different times, different people, different audience and music evolve and Journey has evolved and even though without Perry, it sounds like Journey.

yet again its not the same with Perry and Smith. Steve Perry owns this song and he sang it with the passion he had when this song came out with love passion and soul. arnel's just covering it and making it his and its not the same his notes are to long and weird. sorry but thats how i feel.

sorry to hear about what you feel. you are not alone. What would you do if you have Arnel's voice and you got discovered and offered a job like Arnel? What would you do if this is the big break you are waiting for? Do you think you would care about what other people say? This is all about money and survival man...:)
