@zaman702 not in Alabama...possession of any cannabis plant material in excess of 1 Kg (2.2 lbs.) automatically qualifies as felony trafficking according to statute. That means root, stalks, stems, water leaves, the whole plant! And I'm guessing they included the soil that made it in the bags too.

@lustreboy We were coerced into a plea deal because of the misinformation given to us by our paid attorneys who withdrew from our case because of our decision to file some of our own motions defending our position they refused to defend. We were railroaded into jail due to these attorneys and 7 months later the DA offered me a 3yr deal and Brenda a 1 yr deal for felony possession. The minimum sentence on the trafficking charge was 10 yrs. and the public pretenders offered us little hope.

@LegalGEM alabama can go fuck itself with that idea!the plant isnt illegal,the chemical it makes is.the stems,roots,and leaves are not the smokable parts.they cant legally count it as weight of the buds,which is the ileagal part ONLY when the buds are fully mature and have measureable amounts of t.h.c.,otherwise,here in n.y. that case would be out the window,but of course,some will be ready or almost ready,and they CAN get them on that.but its personal use,not distribution. unless seperate bags

Religion should not mean an automatic exemption to any law. Religion is hindering the evolution of mankind. That said, Cannabis should be legal for all. Not because it's required by your religion and not for medical reasons. Simply because there is no good reason for it to be illegal. Religion is more dangerous than weed!
