  • INN & USA Tonight also aired nationally on superstation WGN at 1030PM Eastern (6:30PM Alaska Time) and again at either 3AM or 3:30AM (11PM or 11:30PM Alaska Time). Since most Alaska TV stations, at the time, also had news during the 6PM and 11PM hours, the Chicago and/or national news became a cable competitor to the evening/late news on Alaska TV stations. One of my foster families, with whom I stayed in 1985, would often have WGN's "9:00 News" on at 6PM instead of the local news!

  • I miss Brad Holbrook from Channel 11 news WPIX-TV here in New York City. I remember so many of these famous TV newscasters from all the local TV news channels here in NYC from the '70's and '80's-Remember Steve Bosh and Pat Harper and Joe Harper from Ch.11 back in the '70's?-How about weatherman Bob Harris? Bob Harris was a famous weatherman from Channel 11 tv news from the 1970's until 1992 when he decided to leave his job from Ch.11 tv news-also known as Action News back in the '70's.

  • The Independent Network News (INN) was a nationally-syndicated nightly news program, seen from June 1980 until June 1990, and produced by WPIX in New York City, designed mainly for independent stations.
