Reveiw: S&W 38/44 Heavy Duty - Part 2

This is a follow-up video to my review of the S&W 38/44 Heavy Duty. It is basically to showcase a second 38/44 I've acquired and to address some of the questions generated by my first video, namely, the difference between the N-Frame and K-Frame, the 38/44 ammunition, and the difference between 38 Special ammo and 357 Magnum ammo.

My 90y/o father gave me his S&W 38/44 outdoorsman It has 61/2 barrel. Dad was a skilled machinist and work the cylinder to accept 357 . It also has ramp sights. the gun has been used very little. the finish is in super shape. I would like to know how to date the gun. Dad bought it some time in the 1960s at a sporting goods store but he cant remember the year or if the gun was brand new. At 90 year I give him some slack. LOL P.S. I do have the gold box it cam in.

@MOJONIXION It's too bad the gun was modified to take 357 cartridges because that pretty much ruins its collector value and an 38/44 Outdoorsman from the early 60s is VERY rare.
