India Islamic Center organised a musical evening Hamaari Yaad Ayegi in honour of Mubarak Begum who spell bound the audience with her songs. Listeners were transported the golden era of 50s and 60s.Sh Naveen Anand an avid music lover and a member of Sangeet Smriti was the person who made the program possible.Music was arranged by Sangeet smriti president Shikha Biswas and her talented dughter Tuhina sang some beautiful songs of Mubarak ji.Shikha BIswas also sang asthai mukhda of a song from The Return of Superman in which her father Legendary Anil Biswas had asked Mubarak Begum to sing the song.

We have not heard about mubarak begum. where is she? Had a nice voice but was overshadowed along with other singers like her by the mangeshkar sisters who have ruled bollywood
